ICM-45605

ICM-45605 is a 6-axis MotionTracking IMU from TDK InvenSense in an LGA-20 package (3 x 3 x 0.81 mm) — for wearables, hearables and other battery-first products, and listed by TDK Product Center as Production. Note the package: this code is the 20-pin 3 x 3 mm LGA, not the smaller 14-pin footprint of its ICM-45686 sibling, so the two are not footprint-interchangeable. The selection point is power: in BalancedGyro mode the 6-axis draw is 220 µA, the lowest in this family group, while keeping gyroscope full-scale ranges of ±15.625 to ±2000 dps, accelerometer ranges of ±2/4/8/16 g, a 16-bit ADC with 20-bit FIFO data format, and a FIFO configurable up to 8 KB (2 KB default). Interfaces are I3C at 12.5 MHz, I2C at 1 MHz or SPI at 24 MHz, plus an auxiliary I2C master at 400 kHz, and the on-chip EDMP/APEX engine handles motion features locally; shock tolerance is 20,000 g. Selection advice: choose the ICM-45605 when battery life is the binding constraint; step up to the ICM-45686 if you need ±4000 dps/±32 g ranges, auxiliary OIS support or an RTC input, which this code does not provide.
