TCAN1057ADRQ1
Texas InstrumentsTCAN1057ADRQ1 is a Texas Instruments AEC-Q100 Grade 1 CAN FD transceiver in SOIC-8 for automotive diagnostic, monitoring and listen-only nodes. It runs CAN FD at up to 5 Mbps (8 Mbps on simpler network topologies) from a 4.5 V to 5.5 V supply, with plus/minus 58 V bus-fault protection, a TXD dominant time-out at 9.2 kbps and thermal shutdown. Its defining feature is the two-mode architecture: Normal mode for full transmit and receive, and Silent mode, in which the transmitter is disabled and the node only listens — exactly what OBD-style diagnostic taps, data loggers and bus monitors need, since a silent node can never disturb the network it observes. There is deliberately no standby mode and no INH system-power output, so the part stays simple and predictable in always-awake positions; junction temperature range is -40 to +150 degrees C. Selection advice: choose the TCAN1057A where silent-mode listening is the requirement; if the node must sleep with remote wake or gate the system rail, step up to a system transceiver such as the TCAN1043A family instead of forcing this code into a power-managed design. Parameters verified against TI documentation for the TCAN1057A-Q1.
