TCAN1042DRQ1
Texas InstrumentsTCAN1042DRQ1 is a Texas Instruments AEC-Q100 Grade 1 CAN FD transceiver in SOIC-8, compliant with ISO 11898-2:2016 and ISO 11898-5:2007, for automotive and industrial CAN nodes that need classic CAN plus CAN FD at up to 2 Mbps from a 4.5 V to 5.5 V supply. The parameter that carries the design is bus robustness: plus/minus 58 V bus-fault protection, a plus/minus 30 V receiver common-mode range, IEC ESD of plus/minus 15 kV and a typical 110 ns loop delay keep communication alive on noisy harnesses with ground shifts and load transients. Standby mode with remote wake support and a TXD dominant time-out that works down to 10 kbps protect the node against a stuck controller pin while keeping parked-vehicle current low. Selection advice: order the DRQ1 tape-and-reel code — the tube-packaged TCAN1042DQ1 is obsolete, so do not mix the two on a BOM. If the network needs 5 Mbps CAN FD, step to the G option of this family; for plus/minus 70 V bus tolerance choose the H variant, and for logic level shifting to a low-voltage MCU choose the V variant with VIO. Parameters verified against the TI TCAN1042-Q1 datasheet (Rev. D package addendum lists this code as Active, in production).

TCAN1042DRQ1 FAQ
Is TCAN1042DRQ1 automotive-qualified?
The TCAN1042DRQ1 ordering code carries the manufacturer's automotive qualification marker. Qualification grade, temperature range and PPAP documentation depend on the exact lot offered, so state your automotive documentation requirements (PPAP level, AEC test reports) in the RFQ and we will confirm them against the offered lot before quotation.
