TCAN1044ADDFRQ1
Texas InstrumentsTCAN1044ADDFRQ1 is a Texas Instruments AEC-Q100 Grade 1 CAN FD transceiver in the small SOT-23-THIN-8 (DDF) package, compliant with ISO 11898-2:2016, for space-constrained automotive nodes moving from classic CAN to CAN FD. It supports 2, 5 and 8 Mbps CAN FD data rates — 5 Mbps is the EMC-certified operating point, 8 Mbps suits simpler network topologies — from a 4.5 V to 5.5 V supply. Bus-fault protection of plus/minus 58 V, a plus/minus 12 V receiver common-mode range and a TXD dominant time-out functional down to 9.2 kbps give the node automotive-grade survivability, and standby mode with remote wake over the ISO wake-up pattern keeps sleep current low on always-connected modules. Junction temperature range is -40 to +150 degrees C. Selection advice: this is the base A version — pin 5 is not connected and there is no VIO, so the logic side runs from the 5 V rail; it is the right code when board area is the binding constraint and the MCU shares that rail. When the controller sits on a 1.8 V, 2.5 V or 3.3 V domain, choose an AV version of the TCAN1044A family for integrated level shifting instead. Parameters verified against TI documentation for the TCAN1044A-Q1.
