TPS25751

Texas Instruments

TPS25751 is a Texas Instruments USB Type-C and Power Delivery 3.1 controller with integrated, fully managed power paths, sold in two variants that differ in package and in the high-voltage path: the TPS25751D in a 38-pin QFN (REF) package, 4.0 x 6.0 mm, and the TPS25751S in a 32-pin QFN (RSM) package, 4.0 x 4.0 mm. Both variants integrate a managed sourcing switch, transient-tolerant CC pins, PPS source and sink support, and liquid detection measured directly at the Type-C connector. Only the D variant integrates the bidirectional load switch for the high-voltage sinking path (PPHV); the S variant instead provides a high-voltage gate driver (PP_EXT) to control an external sinking switch, and TI positions the S for power-consumer (sink/UFP) applications while the D serves power provider/consumer (DRP) designs. The web-based GUI generates the configuration without firmware development, and I2C control integrates TI battery chargers (BQ25756, BQ2579x and BQ2571x families) for complete charging solutions. Selection advice: choose the variant by the power path, not by the family name — an order written as plain TPS25751 is ambiguous, so state the full orderable code (TPS25751DREFR or TPS25751SRSMR) and check the package drawing against your footprint before layout. USB-IF PD3.1 certified (TID 10306). Parameters verified against TI documentation.
