STUSB4500QTR
STMicroelectronicsSTUSB4500QTR is STMicroelectronics’ standalone USB Power Delivery sink controller in 4x4mm QFN-24 — for adding USB-C charging to any device without writing PD firmware: the auto-run mode negotiates the power contract with the source on its own, using PDO profiles stored in integrated non-volatile memory. Up to 100 W sink (20 V/5 A), three configurable sink PDO profiles, dead-battery support so a fully depleted device still starts charging, and short-to-VBUS protection (22 V on CC pins, 28 V on VBUS) against faulty cables and chargers. USB-IF certified (TID 1000133), -40 to +105°C operation. Selection advice: this is the sink-only workhorse — for source/provider designs look at the STUSB4710 family instead; the QTR code is the QFN-24 Active orderable while the BJR WLCSP variant is NRND, so specify QTR for new programs. Pair it with a PMOS VBUS switch driven by its integrated gate driver for a complete high-power sink port. Parameters verified against STMicroelectronics documentation.
