TCAN6062VDR

Texas Instruments

TCAN6062VDR is a Texas Instruments CAN XL transceiver with VIO level shifting in an SOIC-8 package, tape and reel, compliant with ISO 11898-2:2024 Annex A, supporting 20 Mbps in FAST mode and 8 Mbps in SIC mode, with +/-58 V bus fault protection and a +/-12 V common-mode range. Selection advice: the only functional difference from the TCAN6062DR base code is pin 5 - here it is a dedicated VIO logic supply accepting 1.71 to 5.5 V, so TXD and RXD are referenced to the controller's rail and RXD is only driven while VIO is present; as a side benefit the V version's standby current is far lower (2 uA maximum against the base part's 15 uA class figures), which matters for always-on wake nodes. Choose the V code for low-voltage MCU domains and standby-sensitive designs, the DR code for plain 5 V nodes. TI's package addendum lists this code as Active in Production. Parameters verified against TI documentation (SLVSM22).
