SEN60

SEN60 is an environmental sensor node from Sensirion in a housed module package, measuring four parameters - particulate matter PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10 - over an I2C interface, for dust and particle monitoring in HVAC equipment, air purifiers, industrial enclosures and building systems. The focused parameter set is the selection point: the SEN60 is the particle-only entry of the SEN6x platform, so designs whose specification stops at particulate reporting do not pay for gas channels they never read, while still getting the platform's integrated, factory-characterised optical particle engine instead of a discrete sensor that needs its own characterisation and airflow design. The verified ordering code for this node is SEN60-SIN-T. Selection advice: grade the choice by reporting requirement - the SEN62 adds temperature and relative humidity in the same platform, the SEN63C adds CO2, and the SEN66/SEN69C add the VOC/NOx gas indexes; if there is any chance the product roadmap will ask for those channels later, select the higher node now, because platform members are not interchangeable in firmware or reported values.
