SCT2650STER

Silicon Content Technology

SCT2650STER is a Silicon Content Technology asynchronous buck converter in an ESOP-8 package, stepping a 4.5 V to 60 V input down to an adjustable output at up to 5 A, for industrial power rails and auxiliary supplies fed from 12 V, 24 V or 48 V buses. The wide 60 V input range behind a single integrated high-side MOSFET (80 mOhm) is the selection point: one device covers the common industrial buses with an external catch diode, and the switching frequency is programmable from 100 kHz to 1.2 MHz with external synchronisation, so the switching node can be kept clear of sensitive frequency bands. The feedback reference is 0.8 V +/-1% and quiescent current is 175 uA. Selection advice: this base SCT2650 is the asynchronous part - do not substitute the synchronous, lower-quiescent-current SCT2650B, whose datasheet values do not apply here; confirm which of the two devices your BOM calls out before ordering. The STER code is the tape-and-reel ESOP-8 order form in the SCT ordering table. Parameters verified against Silicon Content Technology documentation.
