LMR16030SDDAR is the tape-and-reel HSOIC-8 (SO PowerPAD, DDA) ordering code for the Texas Instruments LMR16030 step-down converter, listed by TI as Active / Production in the current Package Option Addendum (9 November 2025). The S in the code is the soft-start variant: pin 6 is the SS pin, an external capacitor on it sets the soft-start time, and TI states the pin must not be left floating. It accepts a 4.3 V to 60 V input, holds its feedback reference between 0.746 V and 0.754 V (0.750 V typical) at 25 °C, shows high-side on-resistance of 155 mΩ typical and 320 mΩ maximum, limits high-side current between 3.80 A and 5.70 A (4.75 A typical), draws 40 µA typical sleep current and 1 µA typical shutdown current, and switches over an adjustable 200 kHz to 2.5 MHz range. The selection point is a programmable start-up ramp at 60 V input class: motor-drive auxiliaries, industrial controls and telecom intermediate rails get controlled inrush behaviour from the external soft-start capacitor. Selection advice: the S and P codes of this family share the package and the electrical table but not pin 6 - the P code puts a power-good flag there instead - so the S/P letter is a functional match point, not a packing variant.
