QPC6188

QPC6188 is a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) single-pole four-throw (SP4T) absorptive RF switch from Qorvo, characterized over 50 MHz-8.6 GHz in its datasheet, with up to 2 dB maximum insertion loss (0.73-1.19 dB typical by band), 50 dB isolation, +60 dBm typical input IP3, 39 dBm IP0.1dB and 200 ns switching speed. Its advantage is four symmetric, non-reflective throws in one device: RF1-RF4 are terminated in 50 ohm loads in the OFF and all-OFF states, so idle paths do not reflect energy back into the signal chain, which protects measurement accuracy on calibration and high-isolation paths. The business gain is one compact routing platform for 5G infrastructure, wideband radios, small cells, femtocells and drones, with a single 3.15-5.5 V supply, an internal negative-voltage generator that can be disabled from a single pin in favour of an external negative supply, no blocking capacitors on RF pins unless DC is present, and JEDEC 1.2/1.5/1.8 V control logic in a 3.0x3.0 mm SMT LGA package. Selection advice: pick QPC6188 when one device must route four paths with a clean OFF-state termination and high linearity; if you need only two throws, the smaller 2x2 mm SPDT QPC6122 gives higher isolation (55 dB) and higher IP3 (+65 dBm), and if you need more than 50 dB isolation on a four-throw path, compare the SP4T QPC6144 before committing.
