MAX22522AWU+T
Analog DevicesMAX22522AWU+T is the DAC-equipped member of Analog Devices' integrated IO-Link device transceiver family, in a 4.42 mm by 2.64 mm wafer-level package for miniature sensors and actuators. Like its sibling it combines an Arm Cortex-M0 core with 64 kB RAM, a hardware IO-Link state machine that autonomously handles COM1, COM2 and COM3 communication with all M-sequence types and full ISDU transfers, and a programmable analogue front end built around a 13-bit ADC, high-speed comparators, three 256-tap 10 kohm variable resistors and a 60 kohm 64-tap variable resistor. The MAX22522-only addition is a 6-bit DAC output, which lets the same device generate an analogue setpoint or calibration signal without an external DAC, and ten GPIOs configurable as I2C, SPI or SWD plus an integrated temperature sensor and oscillator with PLL complete the integration. The 24 V C/Q driver supports high-side, low-side and push-pull operation with programmable 50 mA to 250 mA current limiting from a 7 V to 36 V supply, with reverse polarity and overvoltage protection on the interface. Selection advice: specify the MAX22522 over the MAX22512 exactly when the 6-bit DAC output or the second comparator channel is in your schematic. Parameters verified against Analog Devices documentation.
