MAX22512AWU+T
Analog DevicesMAX22512AWU+T is an IO-Link device transceiver with an integrated analogue front end and microcontroller, in a wafer-level package of just 4.42 mm by 2.64 mm, aimed at the smallest IO-Link sensors and actuators. An Arm Cortex-M0 core with 64 kB RAM works beside a hardware IO-Link data link state machine that autonomously manages all time-critical tasks at the COM1, COM2 and COM3 data rates, including every M-sequence type and full ISDU transfers. The programmable analogue section integrates a 13-bit ADC, a high-speed comparator, three 256-tap 10 kohm variable resistors and one 60 kohm 64-tap variable resistor for signal generation and end-of-line calibration, plus ten GPIOs configurable as I2C, SPI or SWD and an integrated temperature sensor and oscillator with PLL. The 24 V C/Q driver runs in high-side, low-side or push-pull mode with a programmable 50 mA to 250 mA current limit from a 7 V to 36 V supply, and low-noise 5 V, 3.3 V and 1.8 V regulators feed the sensing chain. Selection advice: choose the MAX22512 when no analogue output is needed; step to the MAX22522 if the design also needs the integrated 6-bit DAC output. Parameters verified against Analog Devices documentation.
