LTC4296AUK-1#PBF is the five-port power sourcing equipment (PSE) controller of the LTC4296-1 family, in a 48-lead 7 mm by 7 mm QFN package, for single-pair Power over Ethernet (SPoE) systems built on 10BASE-T1L. It services up to five ports that share one voltage class, either 20 V to 30 V or 50 V to 58 V, and performs detection and classification through the Serial Communication Classification Protocol (SCCP) defined by IEEE 802.3cg, supporting both SPoE and Power over Data Line (PoDL) powering variants. Paired with 10BASE-T1L PHYs such as the ADIN1100 or ADIN1110, it delivers power and data over a single twisted pair at reaches up to one kilometre, with point-to-point delivery of up to 52 W at the highest classes, and per-port foldback accurate current limiting protects the external high-side MOSFETs. That combination removes local power supplies and batteries from field devices in factory automation, process control and smart building endpoints.
