API7720FSB-13 stacks both API772X suffixes on the dual forward-channel base: F for outputs that default low on an open input or unpowered input side, and SB for the wide-body SO-8W (Type CJ) with 5000VRMS UL 1577 isolation. It is the maximum-specification 7720 code - two same-direction channels for isolated drive or control signals that must fail safe and clear a high-voltage barrier in solar inverters, motor control and grid-connected equipment. Wide-body insulation data: more than 8mm creepage and clearance, 2121VPK maximum working isolation voltage, 8000VPK transient rating and 12800VPK surge isolation per the family insulation table, with UL listing at 5000Vac for the SB codes. Dynamics stay fast: 100Mbps, 2.5V to 5.5V on both rails, 150kV/us minimum CMTI so fast-switching power stages do not corrupt the isolated signals, 11ns typical propagation delay and -40 to +125C operation. Selection advice: order FSB when the safety analysis demands both default-low behaviour and the 5000VRMS/8mm package; dropping to FS saves footprint at 3750VRMS, while SB without F restores default-high outputs.
