Analog Devices

ADUM3160BRWZ-RL is an Analog Devices USB 2.0 digital isolator in a 16-lead wide-body SOIC package — full USB isolation for low-speed (1.5 Mbps) and full-speed (12 Mbps) links in one chip, without a separate isolator-plus-transceiver pair. Both directions are handled on-chip; the peripheral side runs from the 4.5 V to 5.5 V VBUS while the isolator side accepts 3.0 V to 5.5 V, common-mode transient immunity exceeds 25 kV/µs, and the safety figures are 2,500 Vrms UL1577 isolation with a 645 Vpeak working insulation voltage. Selection advice: the BRWZ-RL code is the wide-body SOIC on tape and reel; this is a full-speed device — designs needing USB 2.0 high-speed (480 Mbps) isolation need a different solution entirely — and the 645 Vpeak working-voltage figure from the current product page supersedes the 560 Vpeak printed in older datasheet revisions. The code is carried verbatim in the ordering guide of the Analog Devices datasheet (Rev. C), and an ADI newsletter states the part is in production and available to order. Parameters verified against Analog Devices documentation.
