UCC28780
Texas InstrumentsHigh-frequency active-clamp flyback controller (up to 1 MHz) with full/partial zero-voltage switching for high-density AC/DC adapters and auxiliary supplies, offered in 16-pin SOIC and 3x3 mm WQFN. Programmable timing supports external Si or GaN FETs, secondary-side regulation via optocoupler feedback allows dynamically scalable output voltage, and adaptive burst/standby control keeps light-load efficiency and audible noise in check; designs meet DoE Level VI and EU CoC V5 Tier-2. ZVS plus 1-MHz operation shrinks the transformer and passives - TI's 45-W GaN EVM and the 65-W PMP21479 adapter (over 93% peak efficiency) show the density achievable. Sourcing note: UCC28782 is the enhanced successor - confirm which generation your design files target before ordering; pair with the UCC24612 synchronous-rectifier controller as in TI reference designs, and for 65-W integrated-FET designs evaluate UCG28826 instead. Parameters verified against TI documentation.
