NCV84003GPAR2G
onsemiThe NCV84003GPAR2G is a self-protected high-side driver in a TSSOP-14 exposed-pad package, specified in its own NCV84003G datasheet — it is a distinct device from the F-code variant and must not be treated as a package-only alternate. Designed for 6 V to 18 V automotive rails, it switches 15 A nominal loads with RDS(on) of 3.6 mΩ typical at 25 °C (7.2 mΩ at 150 °C), and adds an IDLE mode that cuts ground current to about 88 µA for always-on loads, at 15 mΩ on-resistance for currents up to 0.5 A. Protection and diagnostics are the real value: current limiting with I2t behavior, absolute and differential thermal shutdown, a capacitive-load mode with reduced slew rate, reverse-current protection, off-state open-load detection, and an analog current-sense output with a ratio near 20,000 whose fault coding separates overload, thermal and open-load events for the host controller. The clamp holds transients at 35 V to 40 V and operation spans -40 °C to +150 °C. Selection note: choose the G device when sleep-current budget and per-channel diagnostics drive the design, and quote the GPAR2G code, since F- and G-code parts differ in function, not just packing. Parameters verified against onsemi documentation.
