MTCH3380P-MAU001
Microchip TechnologyThe MTCH3380P-MAU001 is Microchip's largest turnkey capacitive touch controller, in a 56-pin XQFN measuring 6 mm x 6 mm x 0.4 mm; this MAU001 code is the tray packing (the tape-and-reel code is MTCH3380P-MAUR001). It senses up to 64 keys in mutual-capacitance mode or 38 in self-capacitance mode, plus up to eight slider or wheel groups, using 12 ADC channels that acquire in parallel — scan time and signal-to-noise ratio hold up as key counts grow, instead of degrading channel by channel. An integrated voltage doubler drives sensor lines at 6.6 V, which together with 240 Vpp noise immunity and IEC 61000-4-6 Class A conducted-immunity performance keeps detection reliable through thick cover glass and in electrically harsh appliance environments. The device is designed to support IEC/UL 60730 Class B functional-safety certification and operates from -40 °C to +105 °C; the datasheet positions the family for industrial and appliance designs rather than automotive use. Selection note: choose the 3380P when the panel needs the full key count, slider groups or PWM outputs; the smaller MTCH3240P covers up to 32 keys in a 4 mm x 4 mm footprint when the interface is simpler. Parameters verified against Microchip Technology documentation.
