MPQ4242BGVE-AEC1

MPS

The MPQ4242BGVE-AEC1 integrates a four-switch buck-boost converter and a USB PD controller in one AEC-Q100 Grade 1 device, giving automotive USB charging ports a single-chip source solution. It accepts 4.8 V to 36 V in, regulates 3.3 V to 22.5 V out and delivers up to 5 A continuous, covering legacy 5 V charging through PD 3.1 profiles. The controller is USB-IF certified for PD 3.1 (TID 8822) with PPS and seven PDOs, and it also speaks QC 2.0/3.0, Huawei FCP and BC1.2 divider modes, so one port serves nearly any phone a passenger plugs in. Switching is configurable at 250 kHz or 420 kHz with spread spectrum for EMI control, an I2C slave exposes telemetry and configuration, dual ports can share power, and protection covers CC/DP/DM shorts to VBUS or battery, hiccup over-current, output over-voltage and thermal shutdown. The wettable-flank QFN-22 (4 mm x 5 mm) supports optical inspection in automotive assembly. Selection note: the -0000 default OTP configuration targets 60 W; confirm the OTP code against your port power budget before ordering, because output profiles are programmed, not pin-set. Parameters verified against MPS documentation.
