GS8743-TR
GainsilThe GS8743-TR is Gainsil's SOT-23-5 tape-and-reel code for the GS8743 - and despite occasionally being filed with op-amps, Gainsil's own datasheet defines it as a comparator: a 6 ns, low-power, rail-to-rail input single-supply comparator. Propagation delay is 6 ns at 100 mV overdrive, supply current is 1.3 mA typical, and the device runs from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply specified over -40 to +85 degrees C. Inputs and outputs both swing rail to rail, built-in hysteresis of about 3 mV keeps the output clean on slow or noisy edges, maximum input offset voltage is 5 mV, and the CMOS/TTL-compatible output shows no phase reversal when the inputs are overdriven. That speed class serves high-speed line receivers, clock and data restoration, sampling circuits, window comparators and zero-crossing detectors where a general-purpose comparator would add tens or hundreds of nanoseconds of latency. Selection advice: treat this as a fast comparator, not an amplifier - it is not stable or specified for linear closed-loop use; if the same socket needs an op-amp, select from Gainsil's amplifier line instead, and note the SC70-5 sibling is coded GS8743-CR.
