TSC2008IRGVR
Texas InstrumentsTSC2008IRGVR is a Texas Instruments 4-wire resistive touch screen controller with an SPI host interface in a QFN-16 (RGV) 4x4 mm package. Its command set is TSC2046-compatible, it offers programmable 8-bit or 12-bit resolution (not the 10/12-bit conversion of the TSC2004 and TSC2006), and it reaches 20 kHz throughput at 8-bit and 10 kHz at 12-bit with an SPI clock up to 25 MHz. It runs from 1.2 V to 3.6 V, draws 30.4 uA at 1.2 V with a 5 MHz SCLK in 12-bit mode, and provides a buffered PENIRQ output with programmable pull-up; ESD is rated +/-8 kV HBM and +/-15 kV contact across -40 °C to +85 °C. The benefit is a migration path: existing TSC2046 designs can move to this lower-voltage, smaller-package controller while keeping the command-based software model documented by TI. For buyers in automotive programs, note this is the industrial version; the automotive-qualified code is TSC2008TRGVRQ1. Evidence: TI lists TSC2008IRGVR as ACTIVE on the TSC2008 product page, with the parameters above documented in the device datasheet. Selection advice: budget resolution at 8/12-bit when porting a design.
