Texas Instruments

TSC2004IRTJR is a Texas Instruments 4-wire resistive touch screen controller with an I2C host interface in a QFN-20 (RTJ) 4x4 mm package. It digitizes touch position with programmable 10-bit or 12-bit resolution in ratiometric mode, runs from a 1.2 V to 3.6 V supply, and draws 760 uW at 1.8 V and 50 samples per second, or 285 uW at 1.2 V. On-chip temperature and pressure measurement let the controller report more than touch position, and ESD protection is rated +/-8 kV HBM and +/-25 kV air-gap across a -40 °C to +85 °C range. The benefit is a low-voltage touch front end that sips power in battery handhelds while staying in a solderable, rework-friendly QFN instead of a chip-scale package. For buyers, this is the I2C member of the family; SPI-based hosts should look at the TSC2005 or TSC2006 instead. Evidence: TI lists TSC2004IRTJR as ACTIVE on the TSC2004 product page, with the parameters above documented in the device datasheet. Selection advice: confirm I2C addressing and the 1.2 V minimum supply against your host rail before ordering.
