Power IntegrationsThe TOP223YN is a Power Integrations TOPSwitch-II three-terminal off-line PWM switch in TO-220-3. It integrates the high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM controller, start-up circuit, loop compensation and fault protection into one device, so a flyback supply for TVs, monitors, audio equipment and auxiliary rails needs very few external parts, and the TO-220 tab mounts directly to a heatsink. Selection advice: the Y suffix is the TO-220 package code within the TOP223 family; the P and G package siblings are not footprint-compatible. Lifecycle honesty: the datasheet marks this family NRND — not recommended for new designs — so this page serves repair and legacy production; send an RFQ and we will confirm original stock.
