SP3232EEN-L/TR

MaxLinear

The SP3232EEN-L/TR is the lead-free tape-and-reel code for the MaxLinear SP3232EE RS-232 transceiver in a narrow-body SOIC-16. Two drivers and two receivers operate from a single 3.0 V to 5.5 V supply with an on-chip charge pump, meet the EIA/TIA-232 interface at data rates up to 235 kbps and carry +/-15 kV ESD protection on the bus pins, over the industrial -40 C to +85 C range. It is the long-running Exar-lineage answer for adding a true RS-232 port to 3.3 V and 5 V designs in industrial terminals, data loggers and consumer equipment. Selection advice: the ordering code reads exactly as written in the MaxLinear datasheet, where -L marks the lead-free tube form and /TR converts it to tape and reel; verify the N package against your footprint, since the same family also ships in SSOP and TSSOP bodies. Parameters verified against MaxLinear documentation.
