RT7202E
RichtekRT7202E is Richtek’s highly integrated USB PD Type-C controller for offline AC-DC chargers and adapters in SOP-14 — for the secondary side of flyback-based USB-C PD power supplies: it integrates an MCU as the PD policy manager, a BMC transceiver, and a programmable reference for the voltage loop, collapsing what used to be a separate protocol chip plus feedback circuitry into one device. PD 2.0/3.0 provider role up to 20 V, P-MOSFET driver for the power path, adjustable current limit, and full protection (OCP, OVP, SCP, UVP, VBUS OVP/UVP). Richtek lists the RT7202 family as Active. Selection advice: the E suffix is the SOP-14 variant — the A (SOP-8) and D (SOP-10) suit tighter BOMs where fewer pins are needed; for PD 3.1/PPS with newer protocol requirements check the RT7202K series instead. This is a provider-side part — for the device (sink) side see the STUSB4500 or RT1716 on this site. Parameters verified against Richtek documentation.
