Renesas Electronics

The R9A08G046L26GBG#AC0 is the dual-core member of Renesas' RZ/G3L microprocessor line: two Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 1.2 GHz run Linux alongside a 200 MHz Cortex-M33 for real-time tasks, in a 368-ball LFBGA (17 mm x 17 mm, 0.65 mm pitch). A Mali-G31 GPU at 600 MHz and an H.264 encoder/decoder handling 1080p30 make this the HMI variant of the platform, with display output over MIPI DSI, LVDS or a parallel interface. Memory and connectivity are sized for gateways with local interfaces: 512 KB of ECC system RAM, a 16-bit DDR4/LPDDR4-2133 controller with ECC, two Gigabit Ethernet ports with TSN support, PCIe Gen2 x1, two USB 2.0 ports and three CAN FD channels. Deep standby draws about 1 mW with fast Linux wake-up, easing always-on power budgets, and the part is pin-compatible with the RZ/G3SE line for platform reuse. Selection note: the L26 code is the cost point for dual-core HMI designs; the L46 code doubles the A55 count to four for heavier parallel workloads on the same platform. Parameters verified against Renesas Electronics documentation.
