CMX90A002 is a two-stage, fully matched GaAs HBT MMIC power amplifier from CML Microcircuits for 860-960 MHz ISM-band designs, delivering up to +32.5 dBm saturated output power with 30-31 dB small-signal gain and 49% power-added efficiency. Its advantage is supply flexibility plus integration: a wide 1.9-4.5 V collector supply covers single-cell Li-ion, supercapacitor-backup and regulated rails on one SKU, while on-chip input/output matching, active bias and an input DC-blocking capacitor cut external parts and board area. The business gain is a single amplifier platform for both 868 MHz (Europe) and 915 MHz (North America) products in a 3x3 mm VQFN-16 package about 44% smaller than the 4x4 mm CMX90A003/CMX90A004, with 70 dB output-power control via Vref, 5 uA standby current and 10:1 load-VSWR ruggedness with no damage at 4.0 V.
