Nordic SemiconductorNRF52840-QIAA-F-R7 is the new-design ordering variant of Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52840 multiprotocol SoC in the 7 × 7 mm aQFN-73 package — 64 MHz Arm Cortex-M4F with 1 MB Flash and 256 KB RAM, a 2.4 GHz transceiver supporting Bluetooth LE, 802.15.4 (Thread/Zigbee), ANT and proprietary protocols, plus an on-chip USB controller and 48 GPIOs. The −F function variant adds software control of the access-port protection (APPROTECT) alongside the hardware control of the base AA variant. Selection advice: Nordic's ordering table marks the non-F QIAA variants as not recommended for new designs — this −F code, supplied on a 7-inch reel, is the aQFN-73 orderable to design in; the QIAA-R in this catalog is the non-F variant and stays listed for existing builds. On this package the full supply range including high-voltage mode is available (unlike the QFN-48, whose VDD and VDDH are shorted internally).
