Espressif Systems

ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16 is the 16 MB Flash, no-PSRAM variant of Espressif's ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 module — dual-core Xtensa LX7 up to 240 MHz, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE with mesh and a PCB trace antenna in the 25.5 × 18 mm SMD footprint, rated −40 °C to +85 °C. The N16 configuration is the selection point for code-heavy designs: twice the Flash of the N8 variant for dual-bank OTA images, asset storage and larger application firmware, without paying for the octal PSRAM of the N16R8. Selection advice: choose the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 on this site instead when the workload needs external RAM (camera frame buffers, ML models); choose a −1U module when the antenna must be external. The module carries its own 40 MHz crystal and pre-tuned RF and is certified as a module, which cuts wireless certification cost and time versus a chip-down design.
