The nRF93M1-LABA is a pre-certified LTE Cat 1 bis module for data-heavier cellular IoT, delivering up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink under 3GPP Release 14 from a single 50 Ω antenna port at Power Class 3 (23 dBm). The LABA variant carries the multiregional band set for Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa — FDD bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20 and B28 plus TDD B38, B40 and B41 — and Nordic states it is pin, size and software compatible with the global LACA variant, so one layout serves both regional and worldwide SKUs. The modem is controlled over three UARTs with AT commands or USB 2.0 high-speed, accepts dual UICC interfaces (Class B and C) plus SoftSIM with SGP.02, SGP.22 and SGP.32 provisioning support, and runs from a 3.3 V to 4.5 V supply. PSM and eDRX keep sleep power low between transfers, Wi-Fi scanning adds indoor positioning, and secure boot with a hardware root of trust and TLS/DTLS support protects the link.
