SAA1064T/N2
NXP SemiconductorsSAA1064T/N2 is Philips' four-digit LED display driver with an I2C-bus slave interface: one chip drives four seven-segment digits through 16 current-sink segment outputs whose current is programmable in software from 3 mA to 21 mA in 3 mA steps, so brightness is set by register, not resistor changes. Static drive, dynamic two-digit-pair multiplexing and blanking modes are on-chip, the ADR pin selects one of four slave addresses for multi-display panels, and a power-on reset flag reports supply interruptions to the controller. It runs from 4.5 V to 15 V; this T/N2 code is the SO-24 (SOT137-1) package rated -40 to +85 °C, and the DIP /N2 version is a different orderable. The part spent decades in industrial panels and appliance displays, where sustaining demand still comes from. Lifecycle note: the SAA1064T/N2 is obsolete — listed for legacy equipment support only, so confirm date code and traceability before committing a repair or production quantity. Parameters verified against NXP documentation.
