PSM712-ES

ElecSuper

PSM712-ES is the ElecSuper transient-voltage-suppressor array in SOT-23, package marking 712, halogen free, tape and reel at 3,000 pieces per 7-inch reel, verified against the maker’s own ordering information and electrical table (revision 2.3). The device is an asymmetric dual protector for two-wire interfaces: verified figures are a working peak reverse voltage of 12.0 V from pins 1/2 to pin 3 and 7.0 V in the reverse direction, breakdown of 13.3 V to 16.3 V and 7.5 V to 9.8 V respectively at 1 mA, reverse leakage of 1.0 µA maximum, maximum clamping of 24.0 V at a 17 A pulse and 18.0 V at a 22 A pulse (8/20 µs), capacitance of 40 pF, peak pulse power of 400 W, and an IEC 61000-4-2 withstand of ±30 kV contact and air. The selection point is one 3-pin array clamping both directions of an RS-485-class pair with asymmetric thresholds matched to the bus. Selection advice: the PSM712 designation is also a Semtech family name, and ElecSuper’s own SM712-ES is a different order code again; this page carries ElecSuper’s figures for the PSM712-ES code only — state the maker and the full string in your RFQ. Parameters verified against the ElecSuper PSM712-ES datasheet.
