FT232RL
FTDIFT232RL is the tube order code for FTDI's FT232R USB-to-serial UART interface in 28-pin SSOP — for legacy service ports, industrial consoles and USB-to-serial adapters qualified on the classic FTDI solution. Up to 3 MBaud with integrated EEPROM, clock generator and USB termination resistors is the selection point: a complete USB-UART in one chip, no external crystal or firmware needed. Selection advice: lifecycle warning — FTDI's Product End-Of-Life Notification of 1 March 2024 ended the whole FT232R family, this tube code (FT232RL-TUBE in the notice) included, because the foundry discontinued the legacy silicon; the last-time-buy date was 1 June 2024 and has passed, so remaining supply is existing stock only — confirm date code and traceability when ordering.
